Magnolia x soulangeana

The saucer magnolia (Tulpen-Magnolie in german) is a hybrid plant in the genus Magnolia and family Magnoliaceae. Such a tree was flowering today in our clinic garden and the last sunbeams were touching her beautiful blossoms. Once they are fully open, they remind me of a Lotus flower. I could capture their beauty with different lenses.

Local architecture - Post Tower Bonn

I was wondering how the Post Tower turns out if I capture it with my wide-angle lens (17-40mm L).
Perspective distortion can be a problem in photography when shooting close using a wide-angle lens.
The result can either damage the aesthetic look of a building, or give it an artistic touch…

Post Tower is the headquarters of the logistic company Deutsche Post DHL with the two brands postal services for Germany Deutsche Post and the worldwide logistic company DHL. The Post Tower is a 162.5-metre, 41-storey office building in Bonn, Germany. It was designed by German-American architect Helmut Jahn and won the 2002 Silver Emporis Skyscraper Award.
It is the ninth tallest skyscraper in Germany, and the tallest in Germany outside of Frankfurt am Main. (from Wikipedia.com)
