I was born in 1963 in the Ahrvalley in Germany and today I live and work in Bonn. Since 1992 I am running a homeopathic practice www.juergen-weiland.de, and since 1994 I have been teaching homeopathy in different national and international schools.

Through Macro Photography I found a deeper insight into the plant kingdom. In 2007 I realized the internet platform www.pflanzenportraits.com. On this website all the plant images are systematically organized in their botanical families and orders.

During my seminar journeys I always take the opportunity to capture the beauty of different plants and animals. The practice of creative photography inspires me a lot for my sometimes challenging work with patients. This unique insight into nature, through photography, has influenced and improved my approach during homeopathic case taking.

Since 2009 I am working as the photo editor for the Spectrum of Homeopathy. This international journal, which is published three times a year by Narayana-Publishers, contains many of my own images.

In summer of 2013 I opened my first photographic exhibition in Bonn-Bad Godesberg.

A part of the sales of photographs I donate to the Lidgetton-Community-Project. This organization, which is located in South Africa, supports children and Aids orphans in the region. Lidgetton is a small village in the province of KwaZulu Natal. My wife Fiona Hayhoe-Weiland is personally connected to the community and project. Through yearly visits we are able to keep regular contact with the project managers. You can find more information about this project at www.lidgetton-orphans.com.

There is no closed figure in nature. Every shape participates with another. No one thing is independent of another, and one thing rhymes with another, and light gives them shape.
